About OA

Welcome Home!

Whatever your problem with food, we welcome you. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating (or not eating!) compulsively: overeating, grazing (eating throughout the day), restricting, throwing up or binging, whatever! Overeaters Anonymous is free. We support ourselves through voluntary member contributions.  There is hope! Many of us have found hope and no longer abuse food!

More about OA: The OA program is based on the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous. One day at a time we use the steps, traditions, meetings, and theĀ Tools of Recovery. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and to carry the message to those who still suffer. Don’t worry! You are not alone. To learn more about our program and decide if it is right for you, review OA’s 15 Questions and attend some Meetings.
